Training in Miami brings contractors together to improve metal roof installation. 

Sherwin-Williams MetalVue organized an event in Miami, Florida, this February 2026 where Top Metal led a specialized training focused on the correct installation of metal roofing systems. The event brought together more than forty contractors and professionals from different parts of the United States. According to Heidi J. Ellsworth of RoofersCoffeeShop®, the event offered different types of training, and all information was provided in both English and Spanish. 

According to Aldin Mejia, owner and founder of Top Metal, this event has been a very positive experience for attendees, who had the opportunity to learn key techniques to ensure proper and professional installation. “The main objective of this system is to promote proper metal installation and make sure people learn to do it correctly, because that is the most important thing,” Aldin shared during the event. He also presented one of the products they use for metal roofs: “Titebond Metal Roof Sealant is specifically made for metal; it doesn’t contain acids that damage the material,” Aldin explained. 

One of the most noticeable aspects of the training was the diversity of attendees. She also pointed out that this type of training is useful even for those who are already installing metal roofs, as it allows them to reinforce techniques and prevent issues in future projects.

How do I remove Instant Bond from my skin or project?

Place a small amount of acetone on the affected area and rub until the adhesive has been removed. Please follow solvent vendor’s precautions. Nail polish remover can also be used to remove adhesive. Be cautious as these products are flammable and can irritate skin.

Will Titebond Wood Glues wash out of clothing?

If Titebond Wood Glues are accidentally spilled on clothing, it is important to immediately wet it with water and keep it wet until all adhesive is rubbed off of the clothing. Do not put the clothing item in the dryer until all adhesive is removed. Heat will melt the adhesive into the fabric and it will be permanent. Titebond II and Titebond III if allowed to dry will not release from fabric. A mixture of Acetone/Water/Vinegar will soften the adhesive but will not dissolve it. Scraping the softened adhesive should remove a majority of the adhesive.

What if Instant Bond doesn’t bond?

Ensure the surface is clean and dry. If dust or dirt is on the intended bonded surface, use a small amount of acetone until clean. Acidic surfaces (wood with dark tannic acids, some leathers and metals) can inhibit curing of the Instant Bond adhesive. Use the Titebond Activator to start the curing process or, spray one side with Titebond Activator and spread Titebond Instant bond on the other surface for an instant bond

Recently, a team from TJ Manosso in Brazil visited the Franklin International headquarters in Columbus, Ohio! While there, the team celebrated almost four decades of partnership and collaboration with Franklin. Their recipients in Ohio were thrilled to celebrate the trusted team that has been the cornerstone of Franklin’s international success in South America.

Manosso has been the exclusive representative of Franklin in Brazil since 1990. The story began with Tino Manozzo, who was searching for “a solution for companies exporting wood furniture, that faced problems of bonding quality.” That search led to Franklin and, eventually, the partnership that exists today.

This milestone includes the addition of Hexion’s Portland, Oregon manufacturing site and cutting-edge technology. May: Tape Week 2024 technical track presentation for PSTC

PSTC Tape Week is an annual event for professionals in the pressure-sensitive adhesive (PSA) tape industry. The event offers a platform for professionals to share knowledge, network and showcase the latest advancements in polymer and adhesion science. Katie Burdette-Trofimov, Product Development Chemist at Franklin A&P, reported on the development of new APEO-free emulsion acrylic PSAs using conventional and polymerizable surfactants, and how APEO-free emulsion acrylic pressure sensitive adhesives offer many benefits over other technologies such as low color and odor, high clarity, excellent aging properties and broad regulatory compliance without the significant health risks associated with APEO chemicals.
