Awards Presented at the RCMA Annual Gala

The RCMA awards honored three individuals for their service, advocacy, and program development within the roof coatings industry.

Recently, three deserving individuals were recognized and honored for their impact in the roof coatings industry.  The Martin A. Davis Award, the James “Tim” Nelligan Industry Statesman Award, and the Emerging Leader Award were presented at the Roof Coatings Manufacturing Association (RCMA) Annual Gala, which was held in conjunction with the International Roofing Expo.  More than 80 members enjoyed an evening in Dallas, Texas filled with networking, good food, and music.

Ariel Lender, the Director of Product Management and Technical Services at Polyglass U.S.A. Inc., was awarded the Martin A. Davis Industry Leadership Award for 2020.  According to RCMA, Ariel has been, “a passionate advocate for the industry, for RCMA, and has been active on its current Board of Directors.”

The James “Tim” Nelligan Industry Statesman Award was presented to Will Lorenz, the Vice President of Sales at General Coatings Manufacturing Corp. (GCM).  Currently, Will serves as the RCMA President and has previously served as chair of the RCMA Government Affairs Committee.  RCMA shares that Will has, “...been a resource for advocacy in government affairs and regulatory issues.”

The Corporate R&D Manager at Tropical Roofing Products, Jeremy Grunewald, was awarded the Emerging Leader Award for 2020.  Jeremy has helped lead the development of the RCMA Contractor Training Program.

After the awards were presented, the new board members and officers were inducted.  Additionally, Reid Ribble, the CEO of the National Roofing Contractors Association (NRCA) spoke about his vision for the future of roofing, in addition to the important issues the roofing industry will face.  A successful evening was had by all at the RCMA Annual Gala!
