Beacon Continues Dedication to Veterans With Launch of 5th Annual Beacon of Hope

Nominations sought for Veterans in need of roof replacement.

Beacon is now accepting nominations for its annual Beacon of Hope, a North American program awarding Veterans new roofs.

Now in its fifth year, Beacon of Hope is part of Beacon’s commitment to its communities. The program is open to all military Veterans, to honor those who have gone above and beyond to serve. Together with local roofing companies, Beacon will deliver and facilitate a safe, durable roof for 10 winners at no cost to the Veteran. The new roof will feature TRI-BUILT® products, Beacon’s private label brand.

“In four years, Beacon has installed 42 roofs to secure Veteran’s homes. Working hand in hand with local community and industry partners, we take immense pride in contributing to the well-being of Veterans’ lives,” said Jonathan Bennett, Beacon’s Chief Commercial Officer. “We created the Beacon of Hope program to express our appreciation for their service and ensure these Veterans have a safe place to call home. We urge the public to honor Veterans in their community by nominating them for an opportunity to receive a new roof.”

From August 15 through October 6, 2023, the public can nominate a U.S. or Canadian Veteran at the Beacon of Hope website or submit an e-mail to beaconofhope@becn.com. Nominations must include a photo and short bio of the Veteran, which includes their military branch, years of service and why the nominee is deserving of a new roof. All Veterans are eligible. A panel will select 10 grand-prize winners and announce them on Friday, November 10, the day before Veteran’s Day.
