Recently, there has been a rise in the popularity of green construction and design. A great example of this is the 2017 renovation of the Jack Casino in Ohio, which features over 3,000 square feet of hydroponic living walls in the new design. This is not only the largest example of a living wall in the U.S., but it was also named “BUILD Magazine’s Best in Living Systems Design & Installation – USA and [won] USA Commercial Project of the Year 2018 in the category of Sustainable Building.”
The walls that were used in that redesign are called “BioWalls,” and they come from a company called Furbish, which is a SOPREMA Group company. BioWalls are living systems that allow contractors and designers to bring nature’s beauty into interior and exterior built environments.
