By Sika Corporation.
The St. Vincent's De Paul Church is well known for its two famous domes; however the building certainly had seen better days before its restoration, needing repair and waterproofing. In order to preserve the stunning mix of Italianate and Greek revival styles of the building, the church needed a roofing solution that could provide the benefits of new world technology to its old-world style. Luckily Sika Corporation had the perfect solution.
The domes were constructed with wood frames and are covered with over 7,000 sq ft of metal sheets with seams in various states of deterioration. Once the metal seems were repaired, Sikalastic RoofPro was able to provide a seamless, durable, sustainable, maintenance-free coating that kept the look and color the public can enjoy today.
