Contractors seek faster, more reliable roof repair options

That message drew attention during Roofing Contractors Association of Texas (RCAT)’s 50th anniversary, where Santiago Garces discussed how contractors increasingly rely on materials that hold up under pressure. His remarks framed RepairBoss as a response to what field teams experience daily, from sudden leaks to repairs that must happen in poor weather. 

A key part of that strategy is Roof Rescue Wet/Dry, a fibered hybrid polymer formula built to adhere to varied construction materials without primer, even on wet surfaces or underwater. The single-component, high-strength elastomeric sealant supports rapid deployment and permanent adhesion, giving crews an option they can carry easily and apply with minimal prep. 

BITEC extends that practicality with RepairBoss Emergency Sealer, designed for areas that typically introduce water into the system. The high solid, low-VOC silicone elastomeric grade pairs with roofs already coated in silicone and maintains flexibility through lateral movement and normal expansion and contraction. Its role centers on preventing small gaps from escalating into active leaks. 

For routine maintenance, RepairBoss All Roof Repair Mastic offers a one-component rubber compound that adheres to properly prepared substrates on multiple roof types. Its resistance to cracking and peeling from ozone and ultraviolet exposure positions it as a dependable material for sealing fasteners, laps and penetrations. 

The product group also includes replacement drain domes and scuppers for quick component changes, as well as BITEC’s TrafGuard Roof Walkway Pads. Made from recycled rubber, the pads deliver fast installation, strong traction and weather durability through diamond, pebble and button pattern options.
