GAF announces new nationwide availability of Timberline UHDZ® Shingles with UltraMat™ technology, delivering premium beauty and UL 2218 Class 4 impact resistance

GAF, North America’s leading roofing and waterproofing manufacturer, announced today that its premium Timberline UHDZ® (Ultra High Definition) Shingles with UltraMat™ technology are now available nationwide. This innovative shingle line offers homeowners a combination of unmatched aesthetic appeal and excellent durability, featuring a UL 2218 Class 4 impact-resistance rating¹.

At the core of the Timberline UHDZ shingle is UltraMat high-performance fiberglass mat technology. This enhancement allows the shingles to achieve a Class 4 impact-resistance rating, the highest rating available, and may help protect your roof against hail¹.

Timberline UHDZ shingles offer a suite of advanced features and warranties:

• 30-Year StainGuard Plus PRO™ Algae Protection Limited Warranty against blue-green algae discoloration with 10% more GAF Time-Release Algae-Fighting technology than StainGuard Plus™-labeled shingles to help protect against blue-green algae discoloration 
• Proprietary LayerLock® Technology which mechanically fuses the common bond between the overlapping  layers of a shingle, powering the StrikeZone® — the industry’s widest nailing area
