Optelos’ visual inspection platform and drone captured data produces high-resolution images and 2D and 3D models for detailed roof assessments, providing unique insights into the conditions of their roofs, as well as assisting in the planning and inventory management of new roofing construction and repair projects.

Showing an example of the detailed 3D modelling available with their technology, Kerrick demonstrates how this process works to help visualize inspections better than photo renderings. John then shows us how you can make accurate measurements using this data and the functionality of virtually being able to do a takeoff.  

“I can’t count the amount of money or time we have saved — or even how much safer this technology has made us,” says John.  

The technology is looking to the future of improving the industry at large, not only in time and money saved, but in advancing training.  

“When I look at this technology I think ‘Where can I go with this?’ and I go to training,” John Kenney of Cotney Attorneys and Consultants adds. “So what we're going to do with that is turn it into training. For example, estimating training can be elevated with such detailed technology.”
