Registration is now open for National Women in Roofing (NWiR) day on January 30, 2022. The one-day conference will take place in New Orleans, just a few days before the International Roofing Expo (IRE). Women roofing professionals who attend get the chance to network and create new connections with other members of the industry. This premier conference brings multidisciplinary professionals in the roofing industry together to share business tactics and success secrets.
The organization prefers to keep NWiR Day a women’s only event. NWiR understands the value of men as equal partners to their mission of empowering women, so membership is open to men. While most events are open to all genders, they state that this event, “there is a unique perspective and experience that women in roofing have that is not necessarily shared by men, and it aligns with the need in our industry to mentor, educate, network and recruit women into roofing. It also provides a safe space for conversation.” They do encourage men, supporters and guests to join the evening reception at the end of NWiR Day.
The schedule and agenda will be announced closer to the day of the event. Registration for NWiR members is $75 and $150 for non-members (price includes membership). You can also make a case to attend NWiR Day by visiting the guide to advocate attending here.
About NWIR (National Women in Roofing)
National Women in Roofing (NWIR) is a volunteer-based organization that supports and advances the careers of women roofing professionals. We provide networking, mentoring, education and recruitment opportunities from the rooftop to the boardroom, for the young professional at the start of her career to the seasoned manager in the executive suite.
Our focus is on connecting and empowering women so that their training and leadership skills can help drive the overall betterment and professionalism of the roofing industry. Our membership also includes and welcomes men who support the inclusion of women in the roofing industry. Working together, we are bringing the industry to a new level of excellence by supporting and promoting the contributions of women as an essential component to the future of roofing.
