Answer one or all of these questions for a chance to get featured on our podcast and win a swag bag from Leister.

At Leister Technologies, we’re committed to building tools that truly serve the needs of today’s commercial roofing service crews. But to do that well, we need to hear from the people who use them in the field every day.

That’s why we’ve launched a discussion on the RoofersCoffeeShop® Forum. We’re asking professionals to weigh in on their most common frustrations — whether it’s diagnosing a leak, welding in tough conditions or working with the wrong tool for the job. Your input helps us understand where the challenges lie and how our solutions can better support your work.

If you’d like to participate, please use the link at the bottom of this article to give us your opinion. If your response is selected to be featured in Leister content, you’ll receive a Leister swag bag as a thank-you for your contribution.

Leak detection: The root of the repair

Leak calls are some of the most urgent and challenging jobs service techs face. Finding the exact source of water infiltration is often complicated by wet insulation, dirty membranes or vague signs of moisture penetration. Even with experience, pinpointing the problem can feel like detective work — especially under time pressure.

Question: What are your biggest pain points when it comes to diagnosing and repairing roof leaks?

Welding: A skill that still needs the right conditions

Successful membrane welding depends on more than technique — it also relies on surface conditions, consistent heat, power supply, material compatibility and space constraints. Whether you're using hand tools or semi-automatics, challenges on-site can make consistent welding a real hurdle.

Question: What are your biggest pain points when it comes to welding in general?

Your feedback helps us build better tools

We know that roofing service work is constantly evolving. That’s why we’re always listening for what’s next — whether it’s a new feature you wish existed, a common problem you’d like solved or a tool enhancement that could improve efficiency.

Question: Any other questions or feedback you’d like to share with Leister?

Answer one or more of these questions in the Forum to help Leister improve roofing tools and to get entered for a chance to win!
