National Medal of Honor Museum project showcases high-performance asphalt roofing on a landmark commercial facility.

KPost Roofing & Waterproofing has earned the Best-in-Class Commercial/Mixed Use Award in the 2026 Excellence in Asphalt Roofing Awards presented by the Asphalt Roofing Manufacturers Association (ARMA). The award recognizes KPost’s outstanding work on the National Medal of Honor Museum in Arlington, Texas, a highly visible project that required precision, coordination and long-term performance.

The National Medal of Honor Museum presented a unique set of challenges with its bold architectural design and complex roof geometry. KPost installed a SOPREMA SBS-modified bitumen roofing system, selected to meet the project’s demanding performance requirements while supporting the building’s architectural intent. The system was carefully integrated with adhesives, sealants and custom details to ensure durability and waterproofing across the entire structure.

The commercial project included multiple elevations, sloped roof planes and more than 450 structural steel penetrations, each requiring custom flashing and meticulous installation. KPost’s team coordinated closely with other trades to maintain jobsite safety, protect the building envelope and deliver a seamless roofing system that performs under real-world conditions while honoring the significance of this national landmark.
