If you’re as excited as we are for METALCON 2023 in Las Vegas, Nevada, you already have the entire trip planned. Your flights are booked, your hotel registration is made, and you’ve started to plan out your time on the exhibit floor. Have you thought about what you want to take away from the event? Are you going to network with other contractors, manufacturers and distributors, or do you want to soak up as much education as you can to start adding metal to your business offerings? Why not both? Maximize your education and engage with industry leaders when you add in-depth workshop to your agenda!
Workshops begin Tuesday, October 17, so if you’re planning on arriving early and worried about how to fill your time before hotel check-in, consider one of these! The metal roof installation training certificate program is a two-day, eight-hour introductory program led by Steve Maule of Fabral Metal Wall and Roof Systems, and Steven Minunni of ATAS International, Inc. You’ll learn about safety systems and the basics of substrates, sealants and more! Understand which metals and sealants are best for specific environments and identify common pitfalls during installation. Upon successful completion, you’ll receive the Metal Construction Association’s (MCA) Metal Roofing Certificate of Completion.
Interested in learning about rollforming? Join in for part one of Rollforming for the Metal Construction Industry on Wednesday, October 18, and return for part two on Thursday to continue the conversation! Both sessions will be four hours long, with various industry leaders sharing their expertise and helping you consider material considerations, financial and installation challenges, and how to utilize automation when adding it to your business.
Don’t miss Metal Roofing from A (Aluminum) to Z (Zinc) with S-5!® on Thursday, October 19. This four-hour session is metal roofing 101 designed to present the art and science of metal roofing from its history to fabrication and manufacturing techniques. You’ll dive into system design and selection criteria, as well as the coil coating process, drainage principles and the principles of water-shedding.
Add one to your agenda for the week or make as many as you can! Value pass registration options are available and are the best deal for adding workshops. If you haven’t yet registered, use promo code FLMC to take advantage of $50 off for registrants under the age of 40!
Explore the entire list of in-depth workshops or register to attend METALCON at the Las Vegas Convention Center on October 18-20, 2023.
