Meet the Cool Roof Rating Council - TRANSCRIPT

Lauren White: Hey everyone. I'm Lauren White with Roofers Coffee Shop and we are here at IRE 2024. I am here with some of our favorite people from the CRRC and I'll let you two introduce yourselves.

Beth James Bourgeois: Hi, my name's Beth James Bourgeois. I'm the program manager at the Core Roof Rating Council.

Sarah Schneider: And hi everyone, I'm Sarah Schneider. I am the Deputy Director of the Cool Roof Rating Council.

Lauren White: And this is your first IRE.

Beth James Bourgeois: It is my first IRE.

Lauren White: Yes. How are we feeling? Uh,

Beth James Bourgeois: Very excited. A little nervous. Yeah. But very excited. We have some sessions we're attending. Um, I work with a lot of, um, companies that have exhibit Booth here, so I'm excited to meet companies in person for the first time Yeah. And walk the floor, so.

Lauren White: Very cool. Yeah. And you've been here before and

Sarah Schneider: Yours? I have been here before speaking, yes. I'm speaking bright early 7:45 AM Pacific Time, Wednesday, tomorrow. Um, but I'm so excited to be able to come back and bring my friend Beth with me. We love Roofers Coffee Shop. So this was the first stop for us to, once we got here on the, um, to the convention and we're just, we're going all out this week with our super passes and, uh, yep. Just excited to be here again.

Lauren White: What's your session gonna be on?

Sarah Schneider: Um, sustainability and roofing. Okay.

Lauren White: Yeah. Awesome. Yeah. Yeah, definitely check that out if you're here. And what are you guys hoping to get outta the show? Um, says meeting people, obviously.

Beth James Bourgeois: Yeah. I mean, meeting people. We're going to a session in a little bit that's on another kind of energy efficiency session. Okay. Um, so just, yeah, whatever information we can take away is

Lauren White: Exciting. Yeah. Very cool.

Sarah Schneider: Yeah, definitely. Um, learning about new technologies, what's happening in the, the energy codes, um, with respect to roofing and, and, um, and exteriors and definitely reuniting with folks, uh, because this industry is amazing and there's so many wonderful people and then meeting new people as well. Yeah. So super excited about that.
