By United Asphalts.
As part of our employee highlights email series, each month we will introduce you to one of our stellar employees to give a little insight into those responsible for furthering the reputation we have for great products and service. Our next highlight is our Executive Vice President of Sales and Marketing Bud Polston. Bud first started working for United Asphalts (UA) as an independent sales rep in 2017. By 2018 Bud was a full-time employee serving as our director of sales and marketing. Since then, Bud has climbed the ladder and is now our executive vice president of sales and marketing.
Bud is a true road warrior, spending countless weeks on the road visiting key markets and formulating relationships with top distributors and roofing contractors. When not on the road, Bud helps to shape our branding message and oversees our network of regional sales reps.
Bud is a thoughtful leader who believes that happiness is a choice. “I try to be positive and choose joy. And then I hope to share it with a smile. Life is going to be hard at times, it’s what we learn from the hard times that mold us.”
When asked about the best part of working at UA Bud said, “Our owner’s integrity and loyalty to his employees, which is shown by their longevity at UA, is something I admire and appreciate.” Outside of work, Bud’s favorite thing is going on family vacations as a way of repaying his loved ones for his hectic work travel schedule. “I also love our dogs and our church!” Bud said.
Thanks, Bud, for years of dedicated leadership and hard work!
