Meet United Asphalts Plant Manager Eddie Sanchez

Eddie has been a member of the United Asphalts team for over twenty-three years.  

For decades, United Asphalts has been known to manufacture quality oxidized asphalt and deliver their outstanding product to roofing contractors across the country.  

As part of our employee highlights series for 2023, each month we will introduce you to one of our stellar employees to give a little insight into those responsible for furthering the reputation we have for great products and service. Our second highlight is our Plant Manager Eddie Sanchez. Eddie has been an integral part of the team here at UA since July of 2000. Through nearly 23 years of service, Eddie has played a critical role in virtually every aspect of our daily operations in the plant 

Eddie started as a warehouse helper in production of our built-up roofing asphalts. He has also been a forklift driver helping to load trucks and receive products. Eddie eventually graduated to production warehouse manager overseeing a floor crew of five individuals. Throughout his employment here, Eddie has been a true jack of all trades, serving as our maintenance and repair manager, plant safety manager, semi-truck and trailer operator with X-endorsement, lab technician, and product research and development advisor. It is no surprise having experience in all these areas of operations has led Eddie to the position he holds today as our plant manager. An overall team player who is willing to juggle all tasks on any given day and in any type of weather, Eddie's "Get-er-Done" attitude is what defines him. When not overseeing plant operations, Eddie enjoys weightlifting, biking and hiking with his family. Eddie says he has no plans to retire until he is "well into his ‘80s" which has us looking forward to many more decades of exemplary service!
