As per the ORCA By-laws the current Board Officers move up the ladder to Vice-President, President and Past President for 2022 and will be re-affirmed by a yes or no vote.
Self-nominations are welcome if you are willing to serve and participate as an ORCA Board of Directors member and ORCA Committees.
Below is a list of requirements to serve on the ORCA Board of Directors, Secretary Treasurer and ORCA Committees. There are eleven (11) seats to be filled as well as the Secretary/Treasurer Position.
Board of Directors
Be an ORCA Associate or Contractor Member in good standing or be the representative of such.
Attend 75% of Board Meetings throughout the term elected. (Minimum of four (4) Board meetings, up to six (6).
Participate in as many ORCA Related Activities as possible. ie. Fundraising Events, General Meetings, Committees as selected.
Secretary Treasurer
Be an ORCA Contractor Member in good standing or be the representative of such.
Attend 75% of Board Meetings throughout the term elected. (Minimum of four (4) Board meetings, up to six (6).
Participate in as many ORCA Related Activities as possible. ie. Fundraising Events, General Meetings, Committees as selected.
Executive Directors Payroll and Reimbursements.
Review the ORCA Financials Monthly with the Executive Director.
Give Financial updates at the Board Meetings and General Meetings.
ORCA Comittees - No Voting for Committees - Only Self Nominations

Meet once a month in person or by via zoom.
Participate in as many ORCA Related Activities as possible. ie. Fundraising Events, General Meetings, Committees as selected.
We look forward to receiving your nominations and all nominations will be reviewed for approval on the ballot by the Nomination Committee of the Board of Directors. The voting this year will be conducted by email with a ballot sent out to all members. The new 2022 ORCA Board members and Officers will be announced in December Newsletter 2021 and will be congratulated at our first 2022 meeting.
