If you’re tired of exerting your time and energy patching up holes in roofs left by static vents, then the Quarrix SmartPlug™ Roof Patch could be your saving grace! The SmartPlug plugs up static vent holes 60 times faster than traditional methods. Simply place it, nail it and you’re done!  

The SmartPlug is made of heavy-duty 24-gauge galvanized steel and also has a reinforced backside that can hold more than 700 pounds. SmartPlug fits standard sized holes left by box, slant-back and turbine vents. They are available in 8” and 12” sizes. The installation process of the SmartPlug is quite easy. For installation, you simply remove the shingles around the static vent, remove the static vent itself, then place the SmartPlug over the static vent holes. After that, the installer will secure it with nails. All that’s left to do after nailing is to install the underlayment and field shingles. Then you’re done! It’s that easy.
