Polyglass introduces Tri‑Strata™ Technology with launch of Polyanchor® HU and HU PLUS Hybrid roof underlayments

This technology helps provide reliable protection around fasteners and penetrations while supporting long-term weather durability throughout the life of the roof system.

Polyglass U.S.A., Inc., a leading manufacturer of roofing, waterproofing and building envelope solutions, is expanding its steep-slope roofing portfolio with the introduction of Tri‑Strata™ Technology and two new modified bitumen hybrid roof underlayments: Polyanchor® HU and Polyanchor® HU PLUS.

Designed for mechanically attached tile roofing applications, Tri‑Strata Technology is a three-layer construction that combines high-strength nonwoven fabric facers with a modified bitumen core to deliver durability, sealability and performance under real jobsite conditions. Developed to address common installation challenges, the technology helps provide reliable protection around fasteners and penetrations while supporting long-term weather durability throughout the life of the roof system.

Featuring a modified bitumen core comprising more than 80% of the product composition, Polyanchor® HU and Polyanchor® HU PLUS are engineered to enhance protection around fasteners and penetrations while delivering tear resistance, puncture resistance and long-term weather durability. 

The new Tri-Strata Technology product family includes:

• Polyanchor® HU: Designed for new construction applications, Polyanchor HU provides dependable deck protection, enhanced walkability and installation efficiency for mechanically attached tile roofing systems.
• Polyanchor® HU PLUS: Designed for reroofing and more demanding project conditions, Polyanchor HU PLUS delivers enhanced durability and added confidence where increased jobsite traffic, deck variability and material staging place greater demands on the underlayment.

At the core of both products is Tri‑Strata Technology’s layered construction:

• Nonwoven fabric surface engineered for traction and jobsite durability
• Modified bitumen core designed to enhance nail sealability around fasteners
• Nonwoven fabric base engineered to provide strength and stability across the roof deck

Together, these layers work to support durability, sealability and jobsite performance from installation through final roof system completion.
