Roofing success in the Pacific Northwest: RCAW’s 2025 tradeshow

From hands-on learning to industry connections, this regional trade show had it all!

Here at The Coffee Shops™, our crew members work from all around the country. One of the best parts of this is that we get to explore a variety of trade shows, both nationally and regionally! Recently, Alex Tolle, our marketing manager, and Brenda Littau, one of our account managers, got the chance to attend the 2025 Roofing Contractors Association of Washington (RCAW) Pacific Northwest Regional Tradeshow.

This show, which was held on March 7, 2025, at the Tulalip Resort Casino, featured a variety of education sessions. Some of these included:  

• 1st Aid/CPR/AED Training in Spanish taught by Shield of Armor Safety: This course taught participants applicable skills for operating in an emergency scenario to save lives.
• Exit Planning Strategies: Maximizing Market Value for Family & Private Business Owners taught by Oliver Kotelnikov, International Business Associates (IBA): Attendees of this seminar got a master class on navigating the sales process and maximizing the value through it.  
• The Do's and Don'ts of Leads Generation taught by Greenhaven Interactive: From attracting high-quality leads to building targeted campaigns, attendees of this session walked away with a comprehensive understanding of strategies for increasing their customer base and conversion rates.
• Get a Grip on Your Business! taught by Cheri Kuhn, EOS World Wide: This was a dynamic workshop that helped business owners solve issues, improve communication and align their teams.
• WA State Regulations & Requirements Every Business Should Know taught by Lobby Washington: Attendees of this session got a great crash course in critical state regulations, licensing requirements, labor laws and business standards in Washington state.

In addition to the hours of incredible education sessions, there were a variety of industry events to attend. Before the show even officially started, RCAW hosted their Industry Insider Event on March 6. This was a great opportunity to connect and collaborate with roofing professionals from around the state. Brenda shared a bit about her experience at the event, saying, “They had the industry insider event, which is now going to replace our fall membership meeting. And it was fun because the lobbyists came to speak again, but this time when they talked to the audience, they asked them questions, brought them on stage to find out what their problems were and discussed them live.”

Another highlight was the 2nd Annual RCAW Fastest Shingle Competition! Sponsored by GAF, this was a close competition as roofers made every shingle and every nail count. The cherry on top of all of these events and sessions was exploring the trade show floor. Alex shared, “It was a great show, bigger numbers than last year. People were excited and engaged. We got to see a lot of our good friends, like Jerry from Steve Garlock and Chris Hagan with the Briar Company. Carolina, Brenda, Shannon and Lori were all there and taking turns running the National Women in Roofing booth and it seemed like people were excited to join.”
