Sashco Invites Contractors to Try New Cobra Lap Joint Nozzle

High-performance caulk & sealant company invents innovative flat-bead caulk nozzle.

Sashco Sealants, a high-performance caulk and sealant company specializing in innovative technologies for the home improvement industry, will be hosting a hands-on demonstration of their new Cobra Lap Joint Nozzle with Through the Roof! sealant at booth #201 during the International Roofing Expo.

With the help of seasoned roofing contractors, who tested various prototypes, Sashco was able to design the ideal nozzle shape specifically suited for lap joints. The new design produces a flat bead that does not require tooling yet forces a clean ribbon of sealant over the joint for a tight, permanently waterproof seal.

“When we saw that contractors had to seal a lot of flat profile joints like roof flashing, tabbing shingles, and even window fins, we realized the only thing we provided for them was round nozzles. That didn’t make sense,” said Les Burch, President of Sashco.

Using the Cobra Nozzle is easy: simply insert into a standard caulking gun, puncture the inner foil seal, and go. No need for specialized or bulk caulking guns, which makes it easy for everyday project use.

The Cobra Nozzle is transparent blue, so contractors can easily see the clear Through the Roof! sealant flowing through it and easily place it over the center of the joint.

Based on testing, both in the lab and by contractor testers, the Cobra Nozzle has been shown to save half the labor time because no tooling is needed. Plus, the unique crescent shape of the nozzle tip delivers up to 50% materials savings.

More importantly, Sashco’s research uncovered the passion contractors have for the quality of their job and how the Cobra Nozzle promoted that passion. Another contractor commented,
