Single Mom in Nebraska Wins a New Roof

A community-centered company gives back through annual giveaways. 

Mandi Logan, a single parent living in South Sioux City, Nebraska won JC Roofing & Insulating’s third annual Rescue My Roof giveaway. 

The homeowner shook hands with company president Mason Barnett who was glad to have the chance to give back to the community supporting his business. "The community has been good to us for more than 35 years," Barnett said to a reporter from Sioux City Journal. "That makes us want to be just as generous." 

Mandi first realized her need for a new roof when she saw mold patches growing on the bathroom ceiling. Her single-story home had a moisture problem, and some of it was seeping through her roof, causing the mold to grow. She decided to enter JC Roofing & Insulating’s third annual Rescue My Roof giveaway soon after noticing the mold.  

The company read her application and knew she was the one. It took the roofing company one day to finish the roof on Mandi’s home and she was more than excited with the finished project. Now her home is free of mold and safe for her and her children. 

"Mandi's home has a brand-new roof and, now, she and her kids can feel safe while going on with their lives," Barnett said. 

The South Sioux City-based residential and commercial roofing company was founded by John Cain in 1984. The company has grown continually through the years and has spread throughout the midwest while remaining incredibly popular in its home base, South Sioux City. JC Roofing & Insulating has been on the forefront of innovation and change in the roofing industry. 

"We have a customer base that demands quality and it is the lifeblood of our business," he said. "Without it, we would not have the reputation we have worked so hard to acquire and our business would not grow.” 

Community members like Mandi Logan are grateful for the company and the contributing role they took on within their community. JC Roofing & Insulating supports and sponsors giveaways because they know their contributions are felt by community members. 

"We have never put profits before quality," Barnett said. "I think that has gone a long way in helping us succeed."
