SprayFoam 2024: Las Vegas here we come!

The SprayFoam 2024 Convention & Expo will be held in Las Vegas, Nevada this March.

Spray foamers across the country are anxiously anticipating traveling to Las Vegas in early March for the world’s largest convention dedicated to all things spray foam – SprayFoam 2024 Convention & Expo. This year’s event is being held March 3-6, 2024, at the Westgate Las Vegas Resort & Casino, the official conference and hotel venue, which boasts easy access to the Strip (and all it offers) via a monorail stop just steps outside. 

A variety of Professional Certification Program offerings will kick off the event on pre-convention days March 2, 3 and 4. Participants can take certification courses, written exams and field exams (the field exams are free to participants in Vegas). “Certification is becoming more and more important to customers,” says Bonnie Strickler, current SPFA president and owner of Puff, Inc., the Charlottesville, Virginia-based spray foam and coatings contractor. “If you’re already going to Vegas, why wouldn’t you get your courses and exams done, especially with the savings you can take advantage of while you’re there?” 

On March 4, golf enthusiasts will head to Revere Golf Club, Vegas’ premier golf club offering 36 championship holes, for the annual Golf Tournament. Others that day will attend the ABAA SPF Installer Certification Training, a co-located event that is popular with attendees every year.  

The official convention schedule and activities commence on Tuesday, March 5 beginning with the conference General Session, Welcome Address, SPFA President’s Message and official Keynote with Kevin O’Connor, who many know of as the host of the Emmy-award winning shows This Old House and Ask this Old House. A huge fan of spray foam, O’Connor’s keynote will provide insights into recruiting and retention in the construction trades. He’ll address today’s job market and give guidance on what to do about it, providing techniques for building a brand, embracing social media, expanding your team and embracing flexibility. 

More than 48 educational sessions, on just about any topic of interest, will follow. The SPFA National Industry Excellence Awards, complete with new categories and surprises, will also be held that day. Many amazing projects were entered for consideration, representing some of the best work done this past year by members of the industry.
