The Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) has announced that their upcoming Safe + Sound Week will take place on August 7-13, 2023. This week serves as a way to raise awareness about the necessity of a robust safety program. OSHA, along with other associations and companies, will spend this week providing resources for other companies that help them develop their own safety programs.
Construction companies are taking the pledge to participate in this week in whatever ways they are comfortable. This can range from creating a safety program to increasing your mental health resources to recognizing your successful safe workplace practices.
Here at the Coffee Shops, we pledge to not only keep our workers safe, but also to spread the word to other companies about how they can promote safe practices. Amongst other companies spreading this same message is the National Roofing Contractors Association (NRCA). In a statement on their website, they stated: “NRCA encourages members to show their commitment by promoting Safe + Sound Week within their companies and sharing their plans.”
