NWIR Day is only a few weeks away! Leadership at National Women in Roofing (NWIR) understands it can be difficult to convey the importance of this conference to your boss or supervisor. For that reason, they have developed a toolkit for women to help explain and justify the value in attending. They want to ensure everyone has an opportunity to experience this premier seminar for women in the roofing industry.
National Women in Roofing is a national organization focused on the empowerment of women within the roofing industry. February 2, 2020, before the International Roofing Expo (IRE), meet with other like-minded roofing professionals in Dallas, Texas. This year’s theme is focused on Driving Your Success in 2020.
Melissa Mulligan Chapman, NWIR Events Chair shares about the contents of the available toolkit. She explains, “The toolkit includes four major objections you may come across and how to address them, as well as a letter you can utilize to submit to your immediate supervisor to ask for their support in you attending this amazing event.”
“There are a lot of seminars out there, but no others where the entire program is focused on the unique challenges and opportunities that women in the roofing industry face,” states Jennifer Stone, NWIR Chairperson.
This all-day event is a “great return on investment not just for you, but for the company that employs you,” Melissa explains. Sessions cover topics that will drive your success including business development, communications, career development, mentoring, recruitment, roofing technology advancements, hands-on product demonstrations, a safety walk and of course, networking.
Melissa urges women to utilize the toolkit to their advantage, stating, “We really want to help YOU be there, we want to see you there.” This is an event you won’t want to miss if you’re looking to foster conversation and learn more about the industry you work in.
