Timberline HDZ® RS features new reflective Granule technology

GAF recently announced new features to its Timberline HDZ® Reflector Series (RS) shingles, which offer rich colors and reflectivity. They feature enhanced EcoDark® Granule technology which allows for dark colors homeowners crave, including Charcoal, the darkest highly-reflective shingle color available in California. These enhancements allow contractors to provide customers with a shingle that is rated by the Cool Roof Rating Council and can be used to comply with the Cool Roof Requirements of Title 24 and the LA County Green Building Standards Code.  

Timberline HDZ RS now also includes GAF time-release, algae-fighting technology, which powers the 25-year StainGuard Plus Algae Protection Limited Warranty* against blue-green algae discoloration, making it a great choice for hot and coastal climates. 

 Existing features of the Timberline HDZ RS shingles include LayerLock® Technology, which mechanically fuses the common bond and powers the StrikeZone® Nailing Area - the industry’s largest nailing area - for fast and accurate nailing.
