OSHA’s final rule to Improve Tracking of Workplace Injuries and Illnesses requires employers to electronically report injury and illness data through the Injury Tracking Application (ITA). December 31, 2017 was the deadline to submit 2016 data. Bloomberg Environment estimates that about 200,000 worksites may have failed to comply with electronically filing their annual injury and illness log summaries. The agency anticipated 350,000 worksites to file but only received 153,653 filings.
