WRYKER founder Julia Farrell shares her story and mission at IRE 2024. 

At the 2024 International Roofing Expo, Karen Edwards from RoofersCoffeeShop® had the opportunity to sit down with an inspiring industry leader, Julia Farrell, founder and president of WRYKER Construction Supply.  

Julia shared her journey and the mission behind WRYKER. She states, "Our primary goal is educating all of the roofers and the people that we work with on safety, we provide OSHA compliant equipment from harnesses, really comfortable work pants, shoes all the way up to your scaffolding towers." 

Julia’s path to founding WRYKER is very inspirational. She stepped away from a tech career to address a crucial industry need rooted in her family's commercial roofing business. She explained, “I saw an opening where people needed a little bit more assistance with the safety compliance and how big the industry is and how much room there is for improvement.” 

WRYKER Construction Supply has evolved significantly under Julia’s leadership. According to Julia, “We try things out with different manufacturers. We see what the roofers actually like to use so we can provide really honest feedback from people out in the field using the stuff.” 

In her booth at the expo, Julia showcased not just products but a commitment to fitting the unique needs of all workers, particularly women in roofing. She emphasizes, “We carry a lot of different PPE and harnesses specific to women, shirts and pants, overalls that are all cut to actually fit a lady's body.” 

Julia’s vision and dedication to improving industry standards and personal experience make WRYKER Construction Supply a strong candidate for change and safety in the roofing world.
