Exciting news for members of National Women in Roofing (NWIR)! The organization, which has always been at the forefront of empowering, supporting, and advancing women in roofing, has rolled out yet another initiative that underscores its commitment to its members. This time, it’s the much-anticipated Member Benefit Advantage (MBA)!
What is the MBA?
The MBA is designed to foster community, collaboration, and mutual support among NWIR members. It’s a platform where members can offer and avail exclusive services, discounts, or benefits to and from their fellow members. Think of it as a marketplace, but one that’s steeped in camaraderie and the shared vision of promoting women in roofing.
Why the MBA is a Game-Changer:
Collaborative Growth: This isn’t just about roofing! It is about building relationships with one another. This MBA enables you as a member to promote products or services outside the roofing industry. SIDE HUSTLE? This is for you!
Exclusive Savings: By availing yourself of services or products through the MBA, you can offer AND access special discounts or perks exclusive to the NWIR community.
Strengthens Community Bonds: MBA encourages members to support one another, leading to deeper, more meaningful connections within the community.
Promotion & Visibility: Showcase your niche offering to a community that already values YOU and what you bring to the table.
How to Make the Most of the MBA:
Stay Updated: Regularly check the NWIR’s official website or newsletters for the latest offerings from fellow members.
Engage: If you’re offering a service or discount, make your proposition clear and beneficial. If you’re looking to avail a service, don’t hesitate to contact the membership committee and inquire.
Spread the Word: The more members use and promote the MBA, the more robust and beneficial it will become. Share your experiences and encourage others to participate.
Launching the Member Benefits Advantage is not just another feather in NWIR’s cap; it’s a testament to the organization’s unwavering commitment to its members. Whether you’re a seasoned professional in the roofing industry or a newcomer, this Advantage promises opportunities, savings, and connections that can help you grow professionally and personally.
Does your committee have an event, virtual event, webinar planned? Or a new program or initiative that you want to share with NWIR members or the broader roofing industry? Let us know!
We have a process outlined for getting this information out:
Start here for Step 1 – what do you need to create and identify before advertising your WEPI ?
Fill out this short Event Notification Form to notify the office and executive committee of your upcoming webinar or event (and request a Zoom link if applicable).
Then move onto Step 2 – for your WEPI, who does what and how you get it done! The office doesn’t create any marketing content – everything is cut and pasted from the resources that your committee creates.
Please add the webinar or event to the calendar (the office doesn’t do this) as soon as you have a title and date so that another event doesn’t get scheduled too closely. Use the CommUnity Starting Point
Everything else is spelled out in Steps 1 and 2, which are linked above.
The Education Committee has embarked on an initiative to provide members with easy access to resources in and outside of NWIR for technical education. Topics will include areas such as metal roofing and metal edging, asphaltic systems and products, single-ply materials, fluid-applied roofing etc. Stay tuned to the NWIR blog and newsletter for monthly updates with upcoming topics.
