Another one bites the dust......BSA & Gays

...and the progressive onslaught continues.....

As a former leader & father of two scouts, we had all but given up on scouting, due to the liberal influences at our local level.

We had just attended a troop meeting last week, in attempts to re-invigorate ourselves about scouting....Well, this was the straw that broke the camels' back, so-to-speak.

To somewhat quote a friends' comment; The Boy Scouts of America now, officially joins the ranks of those homogenized organizations, whose principles can be compromised, in the name of 'PC', which uiltimately has to do with #'s & $.

I was always against it, but I now know many gay families. They, their siblings, inlaws, and their kids all seem well adjusted. None push anything on us, and i don't push anything on them. Matter of fact, we're going to dinner this week with 2 gay couples.

My advice? Live and let live and base your issues with how they behave and interact with you and yours, and others. You might be surprised, as I was, to find out you have the same interests. And keep in mind, NTO every person has the same interests when it's time to go to bed. What seems normal to you there, may be a bit too much for the next 'normal' person.

Why is sexual preference so important? A lot of us really don't care want another does in private...Why must they keep throwing it in our, (and our kids), faces?

Like Twill, said, there were always "those" that everyone knew about, and that was just fine.....In the closet worked just dandy......
