You really have to want to quit. Been 30 years for me now. icotine fits are the curse. I had to have them on mw all the time. I'd get antsy when I was down to me lkast pack. Quitting cold drove me bananas! I finally hit on an idea. I cut back for several weeks, then decided, 'This is my last pack!'. I then went out and bought a carton and opened it. I put packs in each vehicle, night table, coffee table and kept one in my pocket. When I finished the designated pack, I didn't let loose of the new ones. Every time the ugre hit, I'd take the unopened pack from my pocket and sniff it, play with it and think " I can quit quitting at any moment by opening htis pack." No nicotine fit from not having them handy.

Later, I gave all ten packs away. Later, the wife quit the same way.

You have to want it though! :)
