Profit and Overhead ???

i am about fed up being the brides maid !!! :angry: the last 5- 1000 sq plus jobs i bid, i have been second.

on large commercial jobs how do some of you guys figure your P and O.

my normal is 5% overhead and 15% profit.

i am located in NJ.

40% profit, but I've been as low as 9

we do all our own work and pride our selves doing the job right.

i have been 3% - 10% high according to the customers.

P&O figured on top of all costs.

How much have you missed the bid by? Are you using subs or doing the work inhouse?
