An Adhesive Working to Turn Down the Global Temperature

The adhesive combines SOPREMA’s proven DUOTACK® two component, low-rise spray polyurethane foam (SPF) with a hydrofluoroolefin (HFO) blowing agent. The result is a high-performing adhesive for fleece-back membranes, insulation and coverboards that is significantly better for the earth. 

DUOTACK® SPF HFO helps reduce greenhouse emissions, with only 0.1 percent of that of hydrofluorocarbons (HFCs), the product has a low impact when it comes to contributing to global warming. Compared with HFC blowing agents, the HFO formulation can provide up to 20 percent additional coverage per set.

However, The environmental considerations of the product are only a portion of what makes this adhesive so impressive. DUOTACK® SPF HFO has also been engineered to provide a quicker and easier application to save time and money on any project.  

The canister system the product uses is designed to help provide faster setup and shutdown, and the trigger-lock dispenser with stop-and-start capability prevents material waste. The adhesive also features ColorWise® Temperature Warning Nozzles which change from clear to blue to indicate if the product is too cold to be properly applied.
