Are you ready? Las Vegas, here we come!

We can’t believe it either, but it’s already that time of year again. The 2024 International Roofing Expo (IRE) is just days away, and the excitement is buzzing from Oregon to Florida as roofing contractors, distributors and manufacturers button up their schedules, double check their itineraries and pack their suitcases for Las Vegas, Nevada. Megan Ellsworth caught up with Danielle Griffin and Rich Russo from IRE in a recent episode of Roofing Road Trips® to get the inside scoop and provide all the ins and outs as we look forward to the event. 

When asked if this year is going to exceed previous years, Rich answers, “Absolutely. Last year in Dallas, we had our biggest show ever. We’re 10% bigger than we were then. Las Vegas is going to be unbelievable. We have over 600 exhibiting companies. We’re spanning over 200,000 square feet of exhibit and meeting space. That’s like seven miles worth of walking to get through everything once.” He suggests arriving early, wearing comfortable shoes and planning to spend a significant amount of time at the Las Vegas Convention Center because there’s a lot going on.  

Aside from 150 new exhibitors that will have booths on the floor this year, Rich says they also added two more onsite demonstration clinics that are sure to be extremely impactful. Danielle adds, “Imagine having the live job site right there on the show floor. That’s exactly what it is. These were well attended last year, so we look forward to having these two additional clinics this year.” Last year was focused on roof flashing and an exteriors clinic. They’ve added one on metal roofing and one on single ply roofing this year. 

They’ve also added a second keynote speaker this year and they are launching their Innovative Product Showcase awards where attendees can interact and vote on brand new products displayed in the lobby.
