IKO Industries is bringing together curb appeal, durability and contractor support in ways that are reshaping how both homeowners and contractors approach roofing. With a focus on impact resistance, stunning color options and a robust contractor loyalty program, the company is delivering on its “proven performance” promise.
“A homeowner should not need to compromise,” Jack Gottesman, marketing director at IKO, said in a Roofing Road Trips® episode. “A roof is expensive; it's something that they're probably only going to need to do once or twice in their life. If we're being very honest, it is potentially something that they don't want to be doing right now — a project that they have to be doing, so maximizing their protection is the smart way to go.”
Dyana Sweigart, marketing service manager at IKO, highlighted the company’s commitment to beauty alongside performance. “We have some of the best color blends on the market,” she said. “We've always been trying to kind of promote the exterior aesthetic of a home because that's so critical for homeowners.” IKO’s YouTube channel has 30-second videos of each color blend so that customers can see how the colors look from different angles and at different times of day, helping homeowners make sure they’re making the right choice for their roof.
Jack emphasized that IKO’s approach removes the pressure of choosing between aesthetics and protection. "The videos really paint a full picture and tell an entire story,” Jack added. “They show what the shingles look like on a real roof. They have a stamp for what impact resistance rating the shingle carries. They also show how the colors were inspired by nature, which is amazing. And they also show the ArmourZone and wind resistance rating as well.”
Both Jack and Dyana shared their passion for IKO’s products that are designed to meet today’s demands for performance, aesthetics and reliability.
“If you come to our brand-new website, the message that we want homeowners to be able to take away is that, with these shingles, there's beauty you can see, quality you can feel, performance you can trust,” Jack shared.
"We've been in the industry for over 70 years. We really have evolved our products, and performance is really at the heart of everything that we do,” Dyana expressed. “I would encourage any contractor to give Cambridge, Dynasty, Nordic a try and see how it performs, and I am willing to bet that you won't be disappointed.”
