For over 50 years, World of Concrete (WOC) has been the premier international trade show for the commercial concrete and masonry industries. Held annually at the Las Vegas Convention Center, WOC connects industry professionals, offering them education, networking opportunities and access to the latest innovations. This year, our crew had the chance to hit the show floor and talk to Barry McConway, chief marketing officer for a network of companies under the American Polymers Corporation, about the diverse range of solutions his company offers.
Barry highlighted several key brands under their umbrella, which include but are not limited to EVERROOF, General Coatings Manufacturing Corp and Polycoat Products, emphasizing their commitment to providing high-quality coatings solutions across multiple construction sectors.
ChemCo specializes in infrastructure projects, offering advanced epoxy solutions for bridge work, industrial applications and road repair. Their expertise in epoxy formulation and concrete repair spans decades, ensuring that contractors receive reliable and time-tested products. Barry described ChemCo as their infrastructure-based organization that continues to be an essential player in large-scale restoration and repair projects.
Polycoat, the company’s oldest and most recognized brand, has been a leader in waterproof decking and coatings for over four decades. “Waterproofing is the core of the Polycoat brand,” Barry explained, emphasizing how their advanced polymer technology serves various applications. Founded in 1979, Polycoat has grown from a small California-based company into an industry leader with expanded operations in Texas, providing cutting-edge polyurethane coatings.
One of their fastest-growing divisions is focused on high-performance epoxy and urethane-based floor coatings. Known for their durable and visually appealing solutions, Crown Polymers partners with contractors nationwide to deliver superior flooring for commercial and industrial spaces.
