Get your bid in to experience the Las Vegas Sphere

General Coatings has donated four tickets to the Las Vegas Sphere at this year’s Davis Memorial Scholarship Auction. 

Each year, the Davis Memorial Foundation, a foundation of the Western States Roofing Contractors Association (WSRCA), awards scholarships to students looking to further their education. That’s why every year, they have been hosting an auction to help raise funds for their cause. This year, Will Lorenz, president of General Coatings, has graciously donated four tickets to The Sphere Experience in Las Vegas! 

The Sphere Experience is made up of two parts. First, you will have a captivating experience in their Atrium where you can see their holographic art installations and high-tech pieces, including their interactive Aura the Robot™! Then you’ll get to watch Darren Aronofsky’s Postcard from Earth, an incredible multi-sensory film on the world’s largest high-definition screen. 

General Coatings supplied the materials for the 180,000-square-foot spray foam roofing system on the Las Vegas Sphere. To keep the project on track, General Coatings was a very reliable manufacturer for the contractors of the roofing project. They even created a special color for the top coating of the roof for the LED monitors that are constantly running. Steve Goold, their sales manager, told us, “We developed a slate gray color that would allow people to look at the LED monitors and not see the roof behind it... We took personal responsibility as a family owned business to step up and make sure the materials were out there.” 

The tickets are for a showing at The Sphere on Tuesday, October 1, 2024 at 7 p.m.! You can either enter the virtual silent auction online or bid for the tickets at the Davis Memorial Foundation’s Live Auction on Sunday, September 29, 2024! The live auction will be held in the Paris Las Vegas champagne ballrooms 1&2 from 5:30-7:30 p.m. with food, drinks and other great items up for auction.
