Each month we take a look at the most popular articles from the previous month. August was a really busy roofing month but there’s always time for a quick check-in with the Coffee Shop to see what’s going on in the industry.
There were a lot of great articles last month and we aren’t surprised that a new Beacon initiative to donate roofs to veterans made the top five. We love to share how the roofing industry cares and supports the community and those in need. You can read about other initiatives in our Caught Doing Good section and we encourage you to share your efforts with us.
Green Roofs was also a hot topic, coming in as the fourth most popular. We are hearing more about cool, efficient and green roofs. The article examined the benefits that green roofs offer to storm water mitigation and explained important consideration for successfully installing a green roof.
We were glad to see the interest in education and staying up to date on the latest roofing system and technical information. The NRCA announced that the latest volume of the NRCA manual was released and it was our third most-read article in August.
Our second-most popular article last month was safety related, outlining lightning safety tips for outdoor workers. Very important information to share with your workers to help them stay safe in the event of a storm.
We know that contractors like to see other contractors’ work and learn details about cool projects. Our top article was a project profile of a really cool job using Duro-Last® and Exceptional Metal on a building in Oregon.
