Are you ready to feed your brain this lunch hour? Great! Because the latest Lunch & Learn is here! This educational series from RoofersCoffeeShop® is designed to bring digestible and delicious learning opportunities to the roofing industry, via a quick video you can finish over a lunch break. This is a series for anyone and everyone in the industry, so grab your lunch and a coworker and get ready to Lunch & Learn.
In a new episode, Heidi J. Ellsworth meets with senior product manager for commercial roofing at CertainTeed Abby Feinstein. The two talk about the growing importance of roofing contractors being able to extend their season and how they can find ways to make their seasons longer.
“Contractors are constantly looking for ways to be able to fit that one more job in,” says Abby. “So we are just trying to help them find an economical and safe way to extend the roofing season so that they can get more jobs.”
Join Heidi and Abby as they dive into these three learning objectives:
1 - How to extend your season.
2 - Arctic Edge as a solution.
3 - The advantages of both using the right products, as well as having more business throughout the winter.
As many roofers know, the cold doesn’t just change the conditions they are working under, it also can change the way materials react, so extending the roofing season requires thoughtful consideration.
Most roofing products stop being effective once the temperature reaches 40-50 degrees. Traditionally crews have been forced to wait for the temperature to be 50°F and above in order to enjoy the speed and safety benefits of products like Flintlastic® SA membranes. “Things that fall below that are either winter grade or need some additional support,” says Abby. “So a couple years ago we really started addressing this with a focus because we were hearing pretty vehemently from the market that the contractors that loved SA really didn't have a solution for shoulder months [September-December] and the winter.”
Abby shares how Arctic Edge is helping contractors continue to install their favorite modified bitumen systems all year, and how this product can help roofers install faster, safer and year-round.
Download the learning guide and start a conversation on the importance of having the right products to back up your extended seasons.
