James Mason Promoted to Vice President of Renewable Energy at ABC Supply Co., Inc.

Marine Corp veteran, James Mason, has been appointed Vice President of Renewable Energy at ABC Supply Co.

James Mason has been promoted to vice president of renewable energy at ABC Supply Co., Inc., the largest wholesale distributor of roofing and other select exterior and interior building products in North America.

Mason started his career with ABC Supply in 2005 as the manager of the company’s Gardena, California, location. He was named West Region operations manager in 2012 — a role he held until becoming manager of the Southern California District in 2016. Mason served in the United States Marine Corps from 1996 to 2000 and then gained experience in the private sector before joining the ABC Supply family.

“James has a passion for renewable energy resources, which makes him a natural fit for this new role,” said Mike Jost, chief operating officer of ABC Supply. “Even while running his district, he was helping managers in other parts of California and across the country learn and drive sales in the renewable energy market. We know he’s excited to build relationships with current solar roofing installers and help ABC Supply customers use solar roofing to grow and scale their businesses.”

In this newly created role, Mason will be responsible for growing the sales of solar and solar-related products. In addition to the sale of solar products, he will also work across the company on a variety of sustainability-related initiatives to reduce the company’s carbon footprint.
