Danny Braught shares about how a Google Business Profile makes the world’s largest search engine a contractor’s one-stop shop for business growth. 

In Season 5, Episode 87 of Roofing Road Trips®, Heidi J. Ellsworth hosts Danny Braught with LMH Agency. In the roofing industry, it can be hard to get an understandable explanation when it comes to new technology, such as search engine optimization (SEO). Danny and LMH Agency focus on helping “home service contractors, plumbing, HVAC and roofers to be found online so that they could generate better quality leads from their online sources.” He talks specifically about how understanding Google can help contractors get better customer reviews, visibility in their local area and more through SEO.  

The first thing Danny brought up was Google Business Profiles, which appear first when someone uses a search engine. For example, “If they're looking for, ‘A roofer near me,’ or even just to find a restaurant, as soon as you go on, it's going to show you the name, the phone number, the address, the hours that they're open, all of that information without them ever having to go to your website.” Danny points out that, because this is a potential customer’s first interaction with each company, it’s crucial to keep it up to date. He explains, “If people are trying to call you and it says that you're open, but you're not answering the phone, 80% of the time, people are not going to leave a voicemail. And so, you're not going to have a chance to call them back because they're just going to look for the next person who answers the phone.”  

In order to make information about SEO and optimizing your Google Business Profile accessible, Danny and LMH Agency have created a seven-day course for contractors! This course is taught via smaller emails to work with contractors’ busy schedules. Danny explains, "Instead of just giving it all at once and it's an overwhelming thing, it's seven different emails that you get with a couple tasks each day to perform on your Google Business Profile so that that way you can start ranking higher.”
