Meet Eddie White - Answer Me This! Winner

Our newest winner is Eddie White with Red Dogs Roofing. We spoke with him about working in the industry and his answer to our Answer Me This! question: "Why do you use gooseneck vents?” 

Eddie found his way into the industry in a unique way. He found his love for construction independently and through his carpentry classes in high school. He explained, “I just started getting into drafting, using the tools and working with my hands. And that's where I got into  roofing. I kind of made a niche for myself about 15 years ago when I was approached about doing a metal roof. At that point, I was doing all different types of carpentry, interior and exterior, but I started focusing on the roofing at that point because the metal roof was my niche and it was something that excited me and it was an opportunity for me to learn a new product, [and] I love doing that.” 

As for the question, “"Why do you use gooseneck vents?” Eddie was eager to answer. “You can typically use [them] with a shingle roof. It feathers in with the shingles and [they’re] made of aluminum, so they are high quality and have nice black paint.”
