NRCA will hold children's art contest for National Roofing Week

The NRCA has released its notable events that will be held throughout the International Roofing Expo this year in Las Vegas.

To celebrate National Roofing Week in June, NRCA is holding a Children's Art Contest, sponsored by A.C.T. Metal Deck Supply and the International Roofing Expo,^® to promote the importance of having a roof and the value of a professional roofing contractor.

The contest is open to children in grades 1-8 who are relatives of NRCA members and their employees. Group 1 will be grades 1-2; Group 2 will be grades 3-5; and Group 3 will be grades 6-8. Participants are asked to visually answer the question: What do roofs do?

Finalists' entries from each group will be posted on NRCA's website at www.nrca.net, where visitors to NRCA's website can vote for their favorite entry from each group.

The winner from each group will have his or her artwork featured on all 2017 National Roofing Week material and additional promotional material to be displayed at industry events throughout the year, including the 2018 International Roofing Expo^® and NRCA's 131st Annual Convention in New Orleans. Prizes will be awarded to the winner from each group.

Entries must be received by April 14. Winners will be announced and notified during National Roofing Week.
