WeatherPro Exteriors is treating digital transformation as a core growth strategy, not just a software swap. The Milwaukee market exterior remodeling company brought in a leader with deep home services and ServiceTitan experience to move from paper files and spreadsheets to a connected, data driven platform. In this episode of the Roofing Road Trips® podcast, host Karen Edwards spoke with Andrew Mussio, VP of marketing and innovation at WeatherPro Exteriors, who was tapped to drive the company’s digital shift. Andrew shared, “We're a full-service exterior modeling company. So that means we do the roofing, siding, windows, doors, gutters, basically anything on the exterior of the home. We've been around since 2008, so we're a pretty established company. We are based in the Milwaukee, Wisconsin market.”
Andrew stepped into WeatherPro with one clear goal: build a stronger foundation for growth by modernizing how the company works. His experience at A1 Garage Door Service gave him a model for what high performing home service operations look like. Instead of positioning A1 as the benchmark outright, Andrew framed it as proof of what is possible. As he explained, “A1 became a standout in home services because it embraced systems and technology early. Seeing that firsthand showed me how much opportunity there is for other trades. Now the challenge is applying those lessons to roofing and exteriors.”
The reality he walked into at WeatherPro looked familiar to many established roofing contractors. “We had filing cabinets full of folders, so printed job records. We were using Excel for pricing, for job costing, for remeasuring,” he said, describing a patchwork of tools and processes built up since 2008. It worked, but it no longer matched the company’s growth goals. Andrew continued, “We were a little bit all over the place and it didn't really fit well with what we were using at the time.”
That gap between ambition and infrastructure was the catalyst. “That was one of the main drivers was just knowing, hey, there's just a lot left on the table here,” Andrew said. With knowledge of what a fully integrated platform could do, staying with an aging customer relationship management software and manual processes was no longer an option.
For WeatherPro Exteriors, the first chapter of its digital shift is less about a shiny new platform and more about aligning culture, leadership and systems around growth. The conversation moves into the real work behind their shift, from organizing data to connecting systems and getting the platform up and running.
