Software platform streamlines how contractors secure commercial work

Software platform streamlines how contractors secure commercial work

Contractors are using an all-in-one platform to streamline prospecting, connect with decision-makers and grow their commercial business.

At the International Roofing Expo (IRE) 2026 in Las Vegas, contractors are increasingly focused on a familiar challenge with higher stakes: how to consistently generate and close on commercial opportunities. As more companies look to expand beyond residential work, the ability to identify qualified leads and reach decision-makers efficiently is becoming a defining factor in long-term growth. That challenge is driving interest in platforms designed to simplify and centralize the prospecting process. At the Convex booth, Sam Geise and Chris Yu outlined how their solution is built to address those exact pressures. As Sam explained, “We help contractors gain new business through finding new leads to prospect and then ultimately grow their business on the commercial side.”

His perspective reflects firsthand experience with the inefficiencies many contractors still navigate. Before joining the company, Sam worked in the field using a combination of spreadsheets, mapping tools and manual tracking to organize sales efforts. He noted, “This job is really hard. I'm doing Excel spreadsheets, Google Maps, all these different things, trying to figure out who to sell to.” The shift to a centralized system, he shared, fundamentally changed how prospecting could be managed.

That emphasis on consolidation remains central to the platform’s value. Chris pointed to the integration of property data and contact information as a way to remove friction from the sales process. Chris stated, “We're putting together property data and contact information in one space so that way our contractors don't have to have multiple tabs or multiple vendors simultaneously.” By reducing the need to switch between tools, contractors can focus more directly on outreach and relationship building.

The platform’s trade-specific focus further distinguishes it in a crowded technology landscape. “We're the only platform that is built specifically for the trades. We're hyperfocused on the trades,” Sam continued, emphasizing that the system is designed around real workflows contractors encounter in the field and in the office.

Interest at the show reflects a broader shift within the industry. Contractors exploring commercial expansion are looking for structured support, not only in identifying opportunities but also in understanding how to pursue them effectively. With training resources and customer support built into the platform, the goal is to reduce the learning curve that often slows that transition.

As competition intensifies and expectations continue to rise, contractors are placing greater value on systems that improve visibility, streamline workflows and accelerate access to decision-makers. Platforms that can deliver on those needs are increasingly positioned as essential tools for sustainable commercial growth. As Chris explained, “We’re just making their lives easier and helping with the heavy lift of online research and getting them directly in front of decision makers at a faster clip.”
