Umbrella Roofing wins at the 2024 Show Us Our Snow Guards Contest

Not only did they take first in another category, Umbrella Roofing has taken the runner up spot for the 2024 Most Impressive Snow Guard System Project!

Nothing shines like a newly-installed copper roof. And the custom copper roof and show guard system installed by Umbrella Roofing on a Vail, Colorado home shines so brightly that it was named the Runner Up Winner in the “Most Impressive Snow Guard System Project” category in the first-ever Show Us Our Snow Guards Contest sponsored by Rocky Mountain Snow Guards.

“This was an incredibly complex roof system to put together,” says Josh Yandle, co-owner of Umbrella Roofing out of Eagle, Colorado. “With the roof angles and height, we knew a solid snow retention system would need to be included. Not just an efficient one, but an elegant one that would complement the look of the copper roof.

“We chose Rocky Guard 10” (RG10) snow guards in copper from Rocky Mountain Snow Guards for the majority of the home used in conjunction with the Drift III snow fence in copper. Then, for the turret, we installed a SnowCap II clamp-to-seam fence in copper. Together the snow retention system works beautifully to accent the roof while providing much-needed protection for the homeowners during heavy winter snowfalls.”
