Home improvement sales presentations have evolved from printed flip books and static brochures into interactive experiences tailored to each homeowner. In this episode of Roofing Road Trips®, host Heidi J. Ellsworth spoke with Alan Davis, product manager at Ingage, about how the company’s integration with Renoworks helps contractors simplify sales workflows and create more personalized presentations.
Ingage allows sales representatives to build narratives around their companies, services and product recommendations. Renoworks adds visualizations that show roofing, siding, gutters, windows and other exterior products on a homeowner’s property. “When a homeowner sees their house with their options, they stop imagining and they start deciding,” Alan said.
The integration brings those visualizations into the contractor’s Ingage presentation, creating a seamless path from initial research to the sales consultation. A homeowner can explore design options before an appointment, while the contractor can use that activity to better understand the homeowner’s interests and prepare a relevant presentation.
That preparation can also support virtual appointments. Contractors can gather property images, create design concepts and assemble information about products, pricing or financing before speaking with the homeowner. Alan explained, “I can give you a document. I can give you a presentation. I can give you something that's like a proposal of what we think would be appropriate.” Instead of beginning with broad questions, the representative can begin the conversation with a potential answer tailored to the homeowner’s property.
The technology is also designed to reduce what Alan called “application fatigue.” Rather than asking representatives to move repeatedly between customer relationship management (CRM) platforms, visualization software, documentation tools and other systems, Ingage serves as a central place for presenting information.
For contractors, the goal is not simply learning another software platform. Alan said training can instead focus on workflows, sales methods and customer conversations, with the technology supporting each step.
By combining a contractor’s story with personalized images, the integration can turn a traditional sales meeting into a collaborative design consultation that builds trust and strengthens the homeowner experience.
