At this year’s IRE, the Coffee Shop’s Lauren White caught up with Michael Polizzi to discuss what sets A.C.T. apart from others in the industry!  

Every year, companies and individuals in the roofing industry from across the globe come together to celebrate the latest and greatest innovations in roofing. The International Roofing Expo (IRE) is a place where professionals can meet face-to-face with peers and competitors alike while learning and exploring over the three-day event. In attendance this year was the team from A.C.T. Metal Deck Supply!   

At the expo, Lauren White, Coffee Shop editor, and Michael Polizzi from A.C.T. Metal Deck Supply were able to meet up and chat about A.C.T.’s role in the industry and what sets them apart in the industry. Their team is excited for what’s in store for 2023 and the years ahead as the leading experts in all things metal deck. 

“One thing that I think really sets us apart is for 37 years we were what's called a metal deck subcontractor. We supplied and installed metal decks in the Chicago Metro area for 37 years. So, we read blueprints, we understand exactly what's happening on the job site. We understand everything about the product, the engineering, and have all the resources anyone would ever need,” Michael shared.  

The team at A.C.T. Metal Deck Supply takes pride in being a resource for contractors, to not only provide them with metal deck, but to help build their confidence so they can take on more metal projects. “We've been doing it long enough now too, we have a lot of contractors, a lot of customers, I believe their confidence has really grown,” according to Michael. “Sometimes in the past they would see the metal deck was bad, but they didn't want to deal with it. But now they know that they have the support and it's a profit center for them.”
