More than a manufacturer, a partner

More than a manufacturer, a partner

Learn how Progressive Materials helps their contractors succeed.

At Progressive Materials, partnership is the name of the game. In this episode of CoatingsCast, Megan Ellsworth sits down with Jeff Romero, the technical and education coordinator for Progressive Materials, to chat about why this is so important to them and how it helps their contractors find success in the field.

The culture of partnership starts within Progressive Material’s internal team and culture. Jeff explained, “We take our culture very seriously here and we have a standard that we keep amongst ourselves internally. We work together, we really try to partner up, and that absolutely 100% bleeds out into our contractors.”

One of the biggest ways this culture expresses itself between the Progressive Materials team and their contractors is the training they provide. Jeff shared, “The main training that we do is our Certified Licensed Applicator (CLA) training. And it's the full gambit. We go through each one of our products in detail, when to use them, when not to use them, how to use them. We have a section where we talk about qualifying roofs, what we require for you to do in the way of moisture scans, core samples, adhesion tests, those types of things.”

They also have another version of the training that is more of an overview if contractors are interested in professional development but don’t have the time to commit to the full training yet. Jeff explained, “We also have lighter versions of that, where if you're just kind of interested in Progressive Materials, maybe you're not ready to be certified, we'll go and do a full product training for you.”

All of the effort that the Progressive Materials team puts into these trainings can be traced back to that dedication to being more than just the manufacturer, to being a partner. Jeff elaborated, “At Progressive Materials, we believe in being partners and giving you the service and support needed to get to a finished product that you can feel confident in. Knowing that, chances are nothing's going to go wrong.”
