Course Description:
A roof can become incredibly hot in the summer months or in warm climates. This presentation will provide the learner with crucial information regarding the warning signs and symptoms of heat exhaustion/stroke. The presenter will discuss how to curb heat exhaustion/stroke, and when to call 911. Dr. Colbert will also discuss tips and tricks to prevent heat exhaustion and heat stroke.
Course Objectives:
1. Explain what heat exhaustion/stoke are, how they are different, and why it is important to know.
2. Discuss the warning signs for both heat exhaustion and heat stroke.
3. Provide guidance of how to curb heat exhaustion and heat stroke and when to seek medical care.
4. Discuss tips and tricks to prevent heat exhaustion and heat stroke.
