Hapco, Inc. Announces December Distributor of the Month

The distributor of the month recognition is a new program, designed to award top performing distributors who consistently meet and exceed expectations and goals for selling Hapco, Inc. products

Hapco, Inc., the world’s largest BAK Master Distributor, has named ABC Supply in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma as their December distributor of the month and the first recipient to receive the recognition under this new program.

Hapco, Inc. National Sales Manager Shari Carlozzi explained, “We started this program because it’s important to recognize our top distributors and thank them for continuously supporting and believing in our products.”

Emilio Gonzalez, Jr. has worked at the ABC Supply Oklahoma City branch for nearly 15 years and said they began carrying the Hapco, Inc. tools about four or five years ago after meeting Shari and Carlos Alvarez, Hapco, Inc. Sales Engineer, at a GAF TPO class. “Shari and Carlos have both been so good about teaching me the specifications and that is how we’ve been successful in selling the products,” said Gonzalez. “Any time I have a question, I just call either one of them and they get me the answers I need quickly.”

Because Gonzalez understands the specs, he is able to educate his customers to help them become confident in understanding how to use the products. He also attributes the branch’s success to Hapco, Inc.’s prompt customer service and fast repair when there is an issue to be resolved. “My customers appreciate the fact that if one of their hand welders goes down, I can send it to their plant in Texas for repair and have it back and ready to use within two to three days,” he explained.

Gonzalez appreciates the excellent customer service and communication saying that he knows exactly what’s going on with his orders as he receives notifications when he places the order and when it ships. “Shari is great about communicating with me on my orders,” said Gonzalez. “She sends order confirmation right way and lets me know when it ships and who signed for it after it was delivered.”

At the Oklahoma City, Oklahoma branch Gonzalez says many of his contractors are Hispanic and when they hosted an equipment demo at the branch Carlos was able to engage his contractors by communicating in both English and Spanish.
